Much ado about nothing

Not a whole lot new going on around here. Just enjoying the few days we have had of sunshine between storms. Today is one of those days. The time in the sun is being put off this afternoon by Zachary's kindergarten check up. Hard to believe he will be in Kindergarten this fall and Jenna next. Time really does fly.

Grandma is steadily going downhill, sleeping more and more and becoming less active. She has a very small window of awake time to visit, making trips to see her hard to plan. I am hoping to get there sometime this week. We'll see if it comes to fruition.

That's about it for now. Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine!!

I am. My kids are not. Don't get me wrong, they love the sun. It's just not all that warm (hot) and when they try to do the sprinkler/kiddie pool, they are fr-fr-freeeezing and can't understand why (even if I warned them when the said they wanted their swimsuits on!).

I've gotten a pool for Alaina, but still haven't gotten around to blowing it up . . .why did I get one with two slides? * gasp!*

Just don't forget the sunscreen! (I can't help it, people down here look like leather handbags.)

Good luck with your grandma. Just remember, Grandma Shafer is right there to visit too! (You know she's always up and puttering around!)

Sleep is good! Take her a newspaper or child's book or something and read it to her. It gives you something to do and if she's aware she'll enjoy it. If she's too deep in sleep it won't hurt anyone. (This is not my idea. A friend shared it and I think it's a great idea.) Hey, your kids could read to her, too. Enjoy your visit.
